1. Wrap microphones in cushion material (bubble type is the best), and place in a box one or two inches larger than the microphone. Do not use styrofoam peanuts. For tube mics, wrap PSU, as well.
2. Do not ship the microphone in its hard case (if it has one), unless there is a reasonable need to do so. If you feel you must ship a mic in a hard case, contact before doing so. An additional return shipping fee may be charged for microphones received in a hard case.
3. Ship only what is required for the microphone to function, no stand adaptors, or extra items. For tube mics, include the PSU, multi-pin connecting cable to the mic, and power cable.
4. The US Post Office has free priority boxes, which are very cost effective for most mics. Flat rate boxes should generally only be used with tube mics.
5. Signature service is not required, nor recommended. I'd rather not have to wake up early to sign for something. (I'm a performing musician, noon is early.)
6. International customers only: Do not ship UPS or FedEX. Items received via these methods will have to be held for one month, until customs issues are cleared up.
7. I do accept third-party shipments, however, additional return shipping charges may apply if the package contains more than just the mic.
